Our Director
Megan Porter is our Director. She began in early childhood education through a high school internship, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and an EC-SEBRIS certification from San Diego State University, and completed a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership in 2019. Before stepping into this role in August 2023, she worked as program coordinator for health, safety and family wellness at Head Start.
What this looks like in practice
A teacher kneels beside a child working through a hard moment rather than moving them along. That steadiness is the job. Our four classes each have two core teachers, with additional staff helping during transitions. Children spend four to five hours outside daily. Families ask about routines, staffing and fees at a tour.
Consistency shows up at home. A child who is coached through frustration at school tries again at the table. Teachers model a skill, then practice it with the child, in the moment and across days. That repetition builds independence. Children grow at their own pace. Ask us anything you want to see.
